When we came in today the children noticed that the egg had moved on the nest. There were lots of suggestions about what could have happened.
Throughout the day the children did activities based on this amazing egg:
Reception had an egg and spoon race and wrote about the egg. Year 2 have been doing Boiled Egg and Soldier Maths. Year 3 made models of what they thought was in the egg. Year 5 wrote news stories about the event and have started to gather clues to how it came to be found at school. Year 6 have investigated what could have laid the egg. They have also used monitoring equipment to record any sounds from the egg. Year 1 and 4 are making story boxes based on the giant egg.
Today a giant egg was found on the school roof. The fire service came and after testing it brought it down. It was then moved to the courtyard garden where the police cordoned it off. The children have spent the day investigating where it came from and what it is.
