What a great Book Week we have had finishing with the children and staff all dressed up as book characters today.  The poetry recital was lovely with over 15 children performing on the stage to a packed hall. The last day for the book fair is today.

New Appointments

Congratulations to Mr Delaney who is now our new Parent Governor.  We thank him for putting himself forward and know he will be a great asset to our Governing Body

I am pleased to announce that we have appointed Mrs Webster as our new full time Key Stage 2 class teacher for September.  Mrs Webster is an experienced teacher who is leaving her current teaching role in London to join our team.

Sports Results

The school football team have played two matches recently:

St Adrian's 1 Colney Heath 0

Colney Heath 2 St Peters 0

Tomorrow the netball squad will be taking part in the annual netball tournament. Good luck girls.

Our cross country team have performed well at the past two events and should be proud of their achievements.

Office News

Milk - Orders for next terms milk will be placed on Monday, if you haven't already done so, please return your slips (Rec, Year 1 & 2 only).  Late requests cannot be fulfilled.

Please do not wait for a text reminder regarding dinner debts.  Meals should always be paid for in advance of ordering.  Sending text messages cost the school money that can be better used elsewhere, as well as a great deal of administration time.  We thank those who already follow the procedures.

Hertfordshire Catering Ltd have informed us of an increase in the cost of meals from April.  They will now be £2.30 per day (£11.50 per week).

IMPORTANT REMINDER:  Colney Heath break for the Easter Holiday at 1.30 on Friday 31st March and the children return on Tuesday 18th April.  Please be aware that this may be different dates to many local secondary schools.

Volunteers for the Spring Fair are still needed - please could anyone who can spare a little time on the 24th email Natalie at Events like this cannot run without the help of volunteers so please help if you can.

The next PTA meeting is on 21st March at 7:30pm - all are welcome.
