World Games 2024! 
 

On Friday, Miss Banerjee had the pleasure of watching 10 of Colney Heaths athletes to the World Games at Oaklands college. 8 of our Year 4’s, accompanied by 2 Year 6 children, visited Oaklands college to experience a mixture of sports, some new to us all and some we were familiar with too. 
We loved the cycling and roundnet however all came away with such energy after experiencing Drumba (check out the video!) so safe to say that was a group favourite! 
 

We met Jordan Thomas, who is a Former karate world champion and he even showed us his Gold Olympic medal from 2016. He told us to be our best selves every day, show determination, resilience and courage in everything we do and to be proud no matter our achievements. We all left feeling very inspired. 
 

It was a splendid day had by all, especially the Ice Cream!
