Welcome back to school for the start of 2026. Miss Claridge, Mrs King, Miss Holland and Mrs Alexander would like to wish you all a very happy New Year, and hope you all had an enjoyable break. Maths
There will continue to be a big focus on times tables this term.
TT Rockstars - please support your child to regularly practise their times tables at home as knowing these is crucial to their progress in Maths. We will be consolidating our 2, 5 adn 10s and then learn our 3 and 4s.
Practice your signing and rapping Year 2 to some of these times tables. You could even make up your own song or rap to teach the class!

Spelling lists will culminate in a weekly dictation activity to apply the spellings learnt. Spelling lists will be given every Friday to be learned for the following Friday dictation activity.
