Pyjama afternoon
Don’t forget this Friday(10th February) we are running a pyjama afternoon to raise money for our charity.
Please bring in your pyjamas to wear (and a teddy if you wish) and £2.
For the £2 you will be allowed to watch a DVD and you will be given a drink and biscuit.
Talent Show
We organised a Talent Show to raise money for Children In Need.
CHARITY
This year we have decided to sponsor a school in Calcutta, India called Loreto.
Sister Syril, who is the founder of the school, has asked us if we could kindly donate Ladybird books and Disney DVDs (and suitable videos) in good condition that people do not want.

Junior Playground Project
This year the PTA are raising money for extra equipment for the Junior Playground. We have asked the classes to tell us what they would like in the playground.
Currently we have many areas in the playground. We need to see how we use these and what else we would like.
Which Charity should we support this year?
We the school council would like you and your parent’s opinion on what charity the school should support.
Abroad, in the UK or both.
Remember your opinion is important. Either make a comment via the website or write a letter to the school council.

Our New School Council
The school council meets on Wednesdays after school. It is made up of children from Yr1 to Yr6. The council decides on the charity the school will support that year. They also organise a number of events which usually include a talent show, stationary shop and summer fair stall.
Thanks to the PTA we were able to decide what new equipment we would like in the playground.
