Dear Year 3 children, parents and carers

The Year 3 support team and I would like to thank you all for the successful completion of our first term together. You all deserve a good rest, so please just relax and have fun - no homework! Thank you also for the very generous gifts.

We wish you all a lovely holiday and enjoy the festivities.

Swimming classes 2022

Dear Parents and Carers

For the moment, it seems that swimming will go ahead for all year 3 children from Tuesday 11 January 2022. Please ensure that your child will have their swimming clothes with them as we have no spares. This includes a swimming costume, towel and goggles and for girls a hair band. Please ensure these items are in a separate bag as the children will not be taking their large backpack with them. Please also make sure that they are ALL labeled!

Kind regards

Ms Feind

Welcome to Year 3!

My name is Mrs Feind and I will be your child's Year 3 teacher this year.

I am looking forward to a year full of learning, fun and adventures.

This year Mrs Dowling will be working with you on a Friday afternoon, Mrs Akers, Mrs Rutherford, Mrs Thorn, Mrs Parker and Mrs West  will be working with us on different days of the week.

I will schedule a "Meet the teacher" Zoom call within the next few weeks where you will receive more detailed information about the entire year. Please be aware that things still can change in an instant.

However, I would like to share some key information with you before our class Zoom meeting.

  • PE will be taught Monday and Tuesday, please ensure your child has the correct clothing, especially shoes! Please be aware of the issue with earrings during PE and make arrangements if necessary.
  • "Home Learning Folder" will come home today with the weekly homework. It comes home on a Friday and needs to be returned latest the following Friday. Your child wild self correct her/his work. A House Point (please ask your child to explain what exactly a "HP" is!) will be given to your child if it brings the work in finished.
  • Your child will also be bringing  home his/her "Reading Record Book" today. This will only be filled in by you (parent/carer)only, whenever you read with your child.  You should try and read every day with your child. We will be checking the reading record daily and when your child hasn't read twice in a row he/she will be given the opportunity of quite reading time during their break time.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards

Mrs Feind
