Creating our Class Solar System

On Thursday, we had lots of fun creating our class Solar System. We begun by looking at the diameter sizes for each of the planets and the Sun which is mind boggling gigantic! We then used our multiplication methods to scale up measurements for each of the planets. We used our knowledge of the properties of a circle - radius and diameter - to draw our planets and used our observational skills to represent the features of each planet. We are now looking forward to seeing the relative sizes of the Solar System displayed in our classroom.
