Hello Year 5, you worked so hard last term with understanding and developing your knowledge about sentences, e.g. 'what makes a sentence?', and the differences between simple, compound and complex sentences. Like yesterday, I would like us to come back to our previous learning and refresh our knowledge about sentences.
In this lesson, you will explore complex sentences. You will remember that they are made up of main clauses and subordinate clauses. You will review what these are and then you will have a chance to practise writing your own.
There is a word mat in your pack that we use in class, so please remember it is there to help you.
