Head's Blog

So we've reached the end of yet another amazing year! Today we are saying goodbye to our Yr6 children as they continue their education journey as well as a number of staff:

Mr Martin, who has been with us for two years and supported the children in their learning.  He has been instrumental in much of the sporting activities during his time with us.

Mrs Day, who has been our Yr3 teacher working alongside Mrs Cridland. Even though she has only been with us for a year she has become a valuable member of staff.

Mr Hinton, who has been our support teacher for many years teaching in a variety of classes across the school. He has also been our Yr5/6 Performance Director, giving the children an experience they will always remember by putting on world class productions. After 40 years of teaching we wish him all the best in his retirement and a we hope he enjoys putting his feet up.

Finally Mrs Cridland who has taught at Colney Heath for 19 years. Throughout this time over 500 children have past through her care. She has been a fantastic teacher and colleague who is now going to have a well deserved retirement.

Attendance

Today we celebrated those children who have 100% attendance. This means they have been in school from the first day in September to today. We had a record number of 16 children who have managed to achieve this.

Please check out the Things To Do Over The Summer Holiday news item as it has some great links to many free activities. We have also updated the calendar for next term which includes class assemblies. On the class page you will also find a transition document which will introduce the children to their new class teacher and classroom.

Remember term starts 8.55 on Tuesday 3rd September.

Have a great summer.
