This has been another busy and exciting week. It started on Monday with the children having a special menu to celebrate Chinese New Year.  A team of Yr5/6 children took part in the annual indoor athletics competition, which was an exciting event, and all the children thoroughly enjoyed it. Our Nursery and Reception classes had special visitors as part of their learning about Chinese New Year - chickens (2017 is the year of the Rooster).  Yr3 went to the British Museum to support their topic on Ancient Egypt.

Finally, the children were treated to a performance of Dick Whittington from a touring theatre company.

Tomorrow we are having our first Stay and Play session for children who will start Nursery in September.

We will be saying goodbye to Mrs Horsewood who works in Reception next week as she moves on to a new position after half term. We will all miss her and would like to thank her for everything she has contributed to the school and children.  Miss Shortland will be moving from Nursery to take on her role in Reception.

Silver Smartie week has finished please ensure all tubes filled with coins are returned by Monday. If the tube is lost or broken you can still send in a bag of change (just label with your child's year group)
