Make boats from different materials and have a family boat race. Whose boat will win?
Challenge: Try making an Origami Boat.

Test different objects to see if they Float or Sink. Talk about what they find out. Do they have any ideas about why some things float? Can they give a reason why some things sink?
Make some Owl and Cat puppets and retell the story or make up a new adventure for them. What might happen when they sail to a new island?
Test: How many marbles/coins can you add to your boat before it sinks? Try for different boats and count the number each time. Which one held the most?
