Today in art we are going to learn about textures.

Last time we found different textures.

We rubbed them with a crayon to create a texture on the paper.

Literacy:

Literacy: To write an informal letter to a close family member to describe an event from last week (1/2 term)

Your letter needs to include:

  • The informal letter layout (check your work from yesterday)
  • Past tense (You are writing about an event that happened last week during ½ term)
  • You need to include informal phrases (check the examples provided)

BUT what is texture?

Texture refers to the surface in a work of art. Texture is the way that things look or feel. Everything has some type of texture.

We describe things as being rough, smooth, silky, shiny, fuzzy etc that is the texture.
