Tuesday 14 July Literacy & Geography

Literacy: Draw and label the beasts based on the descriptions in the passage (try not to google it as the description in the book might not be identical with the ones used in the movie).

Create top trump cards for the beasts (See attachment).

 

Geography

Geography: Let’s travel the world: Today we will be travelling to South America!

Watch the below film and find out about South America as much as you can.

and research them, create a travel passport (Task1) from each of the countries you have visited.

Literacy: Comprehension questions and writing a diary entry, using a photo as inspiration

 

Geography: Let’s travel the world: Today we will be travelling to Asia!

First you need to fill in the Asian map and label it with all it’s countries (Task 1). Watch the attached films and find out about Asia as much as you can.

Literacy Killer Cat

  • Listen to chapter 3 and 4 (read by Ms Feind)
  • Create your chapter maps.
  • Then recap the character of Tuffy, i.e. what do we already know?
  • What is his personality like?
  • What does he look like?
  • Create a word-bank for use in task.
  • Sometimes people who do crimes are put onto wanted posters so that the police etc. can arrest them.
  • What kind of things would be included on a Wanted poster, i.e. name, picture, crimes, reward, description etc.
  • Children to design their own Tuffy wanted poster including crimes, reward and a description.

Literacy: On page 29 there is a list of times and activities that poor Charlie has to get through in JUST ONE DAY! No wonder Charlie didn’t have time to check his list for spelling mistakes! Correct his spellings

 

History: Have a look at the ppp and then fill in the "Comparison of  house development from Stone Age to Bronze Age to Iron Age.
