We hope you had a good Spring break. It has been lovely to have the children back this week, on time and ready to learn. This term is even busier than usual with Yr3/4 and 5/6 performances, Sports Day, trips, athletics and the Summer Fair to name just a few.  Please ensure you check the calendar to update your own diaries.

Next week is Silver Smartie Week. Your child will come home with a tube of Smarties. We are asking that you enjoy the Smarties and then fill the tube with silver coins to be returned to the school.

Future events include a Bingo Night and the Summer Fair.

    Attendance

We have sent out the term dates for next year. This will ensure you book holidays within the correct times.

Children who miss just 5% of the school year lose 50 hours of learning. You can check your child's current attendance by going on Gateway. Remember even if your child is feeling under the weather they can still be at school.

    Colney Heath Football Club

There is a request from the club for people to help with the junior teams. Details can be found  on the Community page of our website.

Cherry Green Trees Bluebell Open Days

Go and enjoy the bluebells at Cherry Green Trees in Roestock Lane this weekend. Saturday 10am to 4pm, Sunday 11am to 4pm.

    Tree Competition

We can still accept entries on Monday for The Campaign for Rural England's Tree Competition.  We've had some excellent entries so far!

What a wonderful week we have had in school. So much has happened including Easter Egg hunts, Easter Bonnet catwalk, Guide Dogs and we became the Football league winners!

    Home Learning

Over this holiday we would like every child to take part in the Campaign For Rural England art competition. The children have been asked to produce a piece of art on A4 based on the theme Trees In Hertfordshire.

Details will be sent home and are available on our Home Learning page.

    PTA News

Thanks to everyone who organised and helped with the events over the past two weeks. We have managed to raise an amazing £600.

    Parent Course

We would recommend a really good course if you are planning on becoming a Classroom Helper or School Volunteer.  Details of which can be found on our Parent Support - St Albans + page.

    Kitchen News

The new menus can be found on the school website under the parent's link.  Letters have been sent home today if your child/ren's accounts are in credit or have a debt.  Please ensure meals are paid for in advance of ordering as we are unable to sustain covering parent's debts.

Remember we return for the Summer Term starts on Tuesday 23rd April.
