The School Council are currently choosing what they would like from the funds raised to go in the empty area at the front of the school.

They are also continuing to collect for The Hedgehog Lady of London Colney who rescues hedgehogs in the local area, but has no funding and relies on donations. Fleece blankets, puppy or dog food (dry or tins) and newspapers are all welcome. Box for collections is still in the front entrance of the school.

We hope you like our new website and would encourage you to link our calendar with yours. This will ensure when new events are added they are automatically updated on your calendar.

  • Armistice Day Poppy Event.

Thu 03 Nov 2016 Mrs Snowball

    Dear Parent/Carer

The children will spend time next week learning and understanding about Armistice Day which falls on Friday 11th November.  Poppies are currently being sold before school on the playground.

This year the children will also all be involved in making poppies to be placed on our infant playground on the morning of 11th November.  Please take a moment to see it when you drop off or pick up your children for school.  As is tradition, we will hold a period of silence for a minute and this year we hope to be able to do this beside our field of poppies at 11am.

As part of the Remembrance Day events we would like it if you could send in a photo of any relation that you would like to be remembered for the part they played in any conflict.  We will take a copy of any photo’s you send in to school and the originals will be returned to you.  Please clearly write the name of the person on the back of the photo, your child’s name and their class.  We will need the photos here, at the school by Wednesday the 9th so that copies can be made. The photos will then be displayed on your child’s poppy which they will bring home.

We hope to make this a positive learning experience for our school community.

    Kind regards

    Mrs S Snowball

    Assistant Head Teacher
