    Our parent MindUP session was really well attended this week. A summary of the session and a copy of the booklet provided can be found on the Class Pages of our website. We have also emailed you the summary.

    Well done to our Yr5 football squad who managed to get through to the 6-aside finals on Saturday. They played really well and showed determination against some very strong opposition.

    This term we have set the challenge for each class to beat their Spring Term Average.

    This week Year 1, Year 4 and Year 5 have beaten their average. Well done. All the other classes were only a small amount away from their averages.

    Summer is here!  It was been a lovely start to this term and to see the children being able to enjoy the field. Please remember to send your child in with a hat, drinks bottle and sun block already applied.

    Year 6 will be selling ice creams after school today (Friday 20th)

    To all those who bought a book at last term's Book Fair. It raised over £300 of free books for our library.

     

    Next Week

    Tuesday 9am  MindUp Session in hall. A chance to see what the children have been learning about to support their emotional health.

    Saturday 2-5pm Wild About Our Common event in the Village Hall.

    See https://sustainablestalbans.org/  for all the events planned in the local area for Sustainable St Albans Week. With a range of activities: Talks and Tours / Outdoor Things to Do / Child Friendly Activities / Films / Food and Drink, Week-long events

    Saturday / Sunday- Free admission to Cherry Green Trees site to see the Blue Bells.

    • infants 5:30-6:30
    • juniors 6:45-8:15

    Please be aware that discos can only continue to run if children are properly signed out to a parent (or agreed collecting adult) at the end - although this takes a small amount of time it is not acceptable for parents to try to bypass this procedure. 

    Please also be reminded of the following:

    • No mobile phones to be brought by children to the discos
    • Children should keep mess to a minimum and behaviour to a good standard  - remember these events are run by volunteers

    WITHOUT ENOUGH HELP TO RUN THE DISCOS IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN ALLOWED IN OR TO CANCEL ALTOGETHER - PLEASE VOLUNTEER SOME TIME IF YOU CAN
