Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
This year the competition has been amended to include two themes: My Favourite Walk in Hertfordshire, where they are, where they go, what they mean to people. To promote the health and wellbeing benefits of walking and to promote access to the countryside.
And: What I Can See through My Window, encouraging children who are currently at home to look through their window and show us what they see, the sun, sky, birds, buildings, parks etc.
We are asking the school children to think about one of the themes and to produce a piece of artwork.

Thank you for your support at this difficult time. School feels very empty at the moment, we are missing you all.
Well done to everyone for keeping socially distant and helping the nation through this crisis.
Over the coming weeks:
Remember to use the admin@colneyheath.herts.sch.uk email address to stay in contact.
We have had yet another busy week with netball matches, cross country and Yr1 assembly. Our choir sang at the Royal Albert Hall last Sunday, which was an amazing experience for them, thanks go to Mrs Billing for organising this.
Coronavirus
The school will continue follow advice from the NHS and Government and will update it's procedures accordingly.
As part of our planning, the children in Yr1 to Yr6 will be bringing home login details for an online platform called PurpleMash.
Purple Mash is the new creative online space. It hosts an exciting mash-up of curriculum focused activities, creative tools, programs and games to support and inspire creative learning every day. This will allow work to be set at home if necessary.
Nursery and Reception will have activities uploaded onto their web pages.
We will of course keep you updated as quickly as possible with any new advice.

At the end of this term Sheila will be leaving us for a new and different position. She has worked with a number of children and families over many years and has been a great source of advice. We all wish her well in her new job and will miss her.
What a great time we had yesterday for World Book Day. It was amazing to see the huge range of words the children and staff chose and the fantastic imagination that was used to dress up. Thank you for your support.

The school is following the daily DFE and County advice regarding the virus and we will keep you informed when information needs to be passed on. A recommended video to watch can be found on this link: https://vimeo.com/134952598?ref=fb-share
